church services

At Champions Church, celebration services bring us together in unity to worship, hear the Word and experience the fellowship that can only happen when we meet and share the gifts that God has given us.  As it relates to celebration services, Champions will always seek to have dynamic worship, personal ministry, relevant ministry of the Word and evangelism as important elements that must have regular expression.  Also, we will seek to be creative and relevant in how we conduct our services.  Without anointed and regular celebration services, a congregation loses their sense of unity, purpose, vision and identity.

In addition to weekly celebration services, Champions schedules special services throughout the year to accomplish other purposes, such as praise and prophetic services.  This is of special importance to give the Holy Spirit an opportunity to flow congregationally.  Champions recognizes that God can work by His Spirit in ways beyond what preaching can accomplish.  It is our commitment not to use persuasive words of men as the primary method of accomplishing the goals God has given us.  We will give regular expression and honor to God's Spirit and His power.  He is the Spirit of the church and it is only by His power that we can succeed.

Champions believes that worship isn't simply about music; rather, worship is a lifestyle.  God is holy and perfect and He's called us to be the same (Matthew 5:48).  The choices that we make every day matter to God, and we have a responsibility to live a lifestyle that is pleasing to Him.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are able to have the mind of Christ in us (1 Corinthians 2:16) so that we can be empowered to make choices that reflect who God is.

"Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."          ROMANS 12:1-2

Champions knows that worship is not merely what takes place during weekend services before the sermon; it can happen everyday in everything we are doing.  As we offer to God the simple moments and activities of each day, we make our very life an offering of worship, allowing His presence to invade our lives.  These are holy moments in which we encounter God and feel His heart for the world.  As He fills us, it is our desire that the nations see His glory so that all people will bow their hearts and worship our glorious Savior.

When Champions Church meets as a congregation, we celebrate who God is and what He's done for us.  We believe that Christians have a lot to be excited about and thankful for.  God's word says that we are to enter into God's presence with thanksgiving and praise in our hearts (Psalm 100:4-5).  At Champions, we desire to be in God's presence and give Him the honor, glory, praise, and worship that He and He alone is truly worthy to receive.

Praise the LORD!  Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse.

Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.

Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre.

Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.

Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!  Praise the LORD!
